It's comfortable, durable and practical. However, it's not entirely invincible! All too often, we see unsightly mould and mildew grow on our favourite garden furniture. Well, it's quite simple. These unsavoury fungi can easily bloom wherever there is moisture. You may even spot mould in your home - in corners of your bathroom or behind sofas. However, if you have a conservatory you should ensure windows are open whenever they can be to keep the air flowing through. Use a fan if you don't wish to open your windows or keep the doors propped open when possible. Keep your rattan furniture away from too many plants as they contribute to a humid atmosphere. Of course, mould and mildew attack more than just your furniture. Your outdoor cushions may also be susceptible to the fungi. Make sure you dry them thoroughly when you have cleaned them - make use of your airing cupboard and tumble dry if possible. Also, never let them sit outside in bad weather!
