Pantone's Colour of the Year 2019: Living Coral

Pantone's Colour of the Year 2019: Living Coral

Why we're so excited about Pantone's Colour of the Year

At the end of every year, Pantone announces their 'Colour of the Year' for the following 12 months. For 2019, we say hello to the vibrant and tantalising Living Coral. The thing about Pantone is that they really are a highly influential company, across fashion, design and interiors particularly. Here at Lakeland Furniture, we like to keep up to date with the interiors world. So, it's only right that we discuss Pantone's new Colour of the Year. This year, we can expect to see a lot of this bright coral shade. And we're not complaining! The reason we think it's so important to discuss Pantone's colour predictions is that it really does have a big impact on many industries. But only time will tell how people will take to Living Coral...

What we think about 2019's Colour of the Year: Living Coral

First things first, let's talk about what we really think of this year's hot colour. Last year, we had Ultra Violet and in 2017 we had Greenery. So, the past few years have had some bright and promising colours. We think Living Coral is a seriously beautiful shade and can't wait to see how the fashion and interior industries take to it. According to this Harper's Bazaar article, celebrities everywhere are already showing it off in their outfit choices. We hope that the vibrant hue will make everyone feel a little more optimistic in 2019 and also a little more daring in their choices.

How you can inject Living Coral into your home

As with any upcoming shade or texture, you might wish to start small before painting your walls and investing in a new sofa! We recommend doing this with any new trend. With coral, you can explore embellished textures as well as shocking patterns to really bring some life into your home. Here are a few of our favourite examples of this colour being used:
