Christmas is just around the corner...

Are you ready? We'll be disappointed if you've not got your tree up and your presents wrapped! Only joking - but it's definitely time to enjoy feeling festive and getting excited for the big day. And what better way to swoon over some beautiful Christmas interiors? The best things about the Christmas countdown are, aside from the smells of mince pies and mulled wine, the lights and decorations. Right? If you agree, you'll enjoy this blog post. And as we consider ourselves interior enthusiasts here at Lakeland Furniture, we thought we'd take it upon ourselves to pick out some of our favourite interior looks. So get comfy and get yourself a nice hot drink. Here's your 2018 Christmas interior inspiration!

Our favourite Christmas interiors this year

Just a few weeks ago, we published a blog post about the decoration trends to expect this year. Now, we're looking at examples of how these trends (and many more!) have been implemented in homes. Think of it as a scrapbook. We hope it gets you feeling festive!

More is more

We absolutely love this family-friendly, over-the-top decor. Can't you just imagine children gathered in here, sharing stories and opening presents? The pressures of social media and aesthetics can often make us feel like we have to follow the latest trends - in all aspects of our life. But we think a traditional red and gold colour scheme never gets old! This room just proves it.

Cosy and warm

A log fire will never go out of style, that's for sure. Don't underestimate the power of natural warmth this Christmas; it's sure to get you feeling festive. If your family home needs warming up or you simply want a way to gather everyone around, building a log fire will do just that. And the best thing? It's not just reserved for Christmas, you can enjoy a fire all through the winter months.

Simple but stylish

Although we love a traditional Christmas, the fashionistas out there will definitely appreciate this gorgeous Scandinavian-feel interior. If you don't have kids to amuse or simply don't like going over the top, you'd be surprised what a few subtle lights and candles can do. We think everyone should add a little festivity to their home!

All the colours!

Sure, go ahead and choose a colour scheme if you wish. But your Christmas interiors don't have to follow any strict rules. Why not experiment with many colours and textures? We absolutely adore this multicoloured wreath for doing something a little bit different. And guess what - wreaths aren't just for on your front door. Try adding one onto a wall in your home or an internal door.

Santa's grotto

There's nowhere more festive than Santa's Grotto in Lapland and that's just what this room reminds us of. Keep things neutral if you're unsure about your Christmas interiors - simply focus on lots of pretty lights! Don't forget the stockings, either. However you decide to decorate your home this Christmas, creating a cosy and inviting environment for your family is all that matters.

Which was your favourite?

Let us know in the comments which style of Christmas interiors you love the best. As always, we like to hear your thoughts. More importantly, we hope you have a great countdown to Christmas this year!
