Do bar stool bases have floor protection?

Yes, many bar stool bases come with floor protection in the form of rubber or plastic caps on the bottom of the legs. This helps prevent damage to floors, such as scratches or scuffs, and also helps provide stability and prevent slipping. However, not all bar stool bases come with floor protection, so it's important to check before purchasing. If the bar stool you're interested in doesn't have floor protection, you may be able to purchase and attach protective caps or pads separately.

How do I replace an old gas lift with a new one?

Replacing an old gas cylinder in a bar stool can be done with the following steps:

Turn the stool upside down so that the base is facing up.
Use a pipe wrench or similar tool to loosen the locking ring located at the bottom of the gas cylinder. Turn the ring counter-clockwise until it comes loose.
Carefully remove the base from the gas cylinder.
Pull the old gas cylinder out of the center of the base.
Take the new gas cylinder and insert it into the center of the base.
Make sure the new gas cylinder is securely in place by pulling on it slightly.
Reattach the locking ring by turning it clockwise until it is tight.
Flip the stool back over and test the gas cylinder to ensure it is functioning properly.
It is important to ensure that the replacement gas cylinder is the correct size and type for your bar stool. If you are not comfortable replacing the gas cylinder yourself, it is recommended to seek assistance from a professional.
